Dealing in and exhibiting original works by Australia’s
most collectible young, mid-career and senior artists.
Basic procedure for artists looking for exhibition space at Dickerson Gallery.
Unfortunately, the Director, Sam Dickerson is unable to view artists’ portfolios during the working week due to the time constraints
of operating a gallery and the amount of time required to properly review folios. Since all of the exhibitions are personally
selected by the Director, we have provided these comments and suggestions to help artists have their work reviewed.
We are looking for Australian resident artists with a professional commitment to their work. We do not exhibit artists who work only occasionally or as a hobby.
Please mail or deliver an up-to-date CV and some photographic examples of the work you have done. Indicate sizes and mediums. The photographs can be prints,
digital images or transparencies. Include your name and address, an ABN number, whether or not you are registered for GST, a contact phone number and
an address for us to return the photographs to you by mail. Indicate whether you are currently exhibiting with another gallery and if so, please give us some
indication of current retail prices.
We cannot promise an exhibition but if the Director is interested in your work we will ask you to come in to discuss the possibility.
Alternatively, if he considers your work is not suited to this gallery, we will suggest other venues for you to approach.
The members of staff can give you further advice, but ultimately it is the Director who has the final say in the style of work represented at Dickerson Gallery.
With thanks, Management at Dickerson Gallery
